A Beautiful Day for a Great Cause: Highlights from the 32nd Annual ECC Foundation Golf Classic

On Monday, July 7, the ECC Foundation welcomed friends, sponsors, and supporters to the 32nd Annual Golf Classic—and what a day it was! Held at the beautiful Transit Valley Country Club, this signature event brought together community members and business leaders for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and—most importantly—philanthropy.

Thanks to the generosity of our players, sponsors, and donors, the tournament raised vital funds to support student scholarships at SUNY Erie. In fact, we came remarkably close to matching last year’s record-breaking revenue and increased our per-player fundraising impact—a testament to the strength of our ECC community.

The day kicked off with registration and a lively putting contest, followed by a noon shotgun start under sunny skies. Golfers enjoyed the pristine course conditions, delicious on-course snacks, and spirited competition at the contest holes throughout the day.

From longest drive to closest-to-the-pin, there were plenty of chances to win—and plenty of laughs shared along the way.

Following the round, guests were treated to a cocktail hour, dinner, awards ceremony, and exciting raffle and auction. This year’s combo packs (raffle + 50/50 entries) proved especially popular, helping to boost our fundraising total while adding some fun to the mix.

We also extend our deep thanks to our incredible Golf Committee and dedicated volunteers. Their tireless behind-the-scenes efforts—from securing auction items and rallying support to managing logistics and ensuring the day ran seamlessly—were instrumental in making this event such a standout success.

To all our participants and supporters, thank you for making our 32nd Golf Classic such a success! We look forward to seeing you again next year!!
